Hope@Home Ep. 5 – ARTE Concert
Deutsche Grammophon and arte show daily living room concert of the violinist Daniel Hope in livestream
For everyone who misses culture, DG and ARTE have a new recipe: “Hope@Home” is the new project by the creative music talent Daniel Hope. In times of isolation and cultural shutdown Hope invites artists and friends to his living room for spontaneous concerts – of course one after the other and with the required safety distance. “Hope@Home” is Daniel Hopes contribution to a rich cultural offer in times of canceled concerts and events, of artists without engagements and an audience that has to stay at home – and he is spontaneously ready to put his art at the service of people.
From March 25th to April 7th every day at 6:00 p.m. live on DG, ARTE Concert, the Arte Concert Facebook page and ARTE Concert’s YouTube channel Hope’s guests include Max Raabe, Christoph Israel, Katharina Thalbach, Sebastian Koch, Heike Makatsch.
Daniel Hope is one of the leading violinists of our time. He has performed with almost all internationally renowned orchestras and conductors. For Daniel Hope it was and is always a special concern to communicate with the audience beyond the musical appearance and to convey his art.
„We need to and must stay home at this time. But we also need to share music as a source of comfort and inspiration. I hope this livestream, with high quality recorded sound, will go some way to fulfilling this“ said Daniel Hope about the daily livestream on ARTE Concert.
