Prelude is a promise of good things to come. Often preceding another musical form, or being rich and multi-faceted works in their own right, preludes are full of fantasy and improvisatory ideas. In this programme of mainly 17-century music, Pawel takes a look at the immense emotional depth of some of the preludes, including those by Böhm, Buxtehude, Scheidemann and Abel, and invites you on a journey fueling the imagination.
